Today is a bittersweet day for us. Willie moves from the 3 year old room to the Big Boy 4 Year Old Room at Pre-School. We love the teacher he had this year, and are sad to leave her class. BUT, we are very excited to be entering the world of Mr. Ryan's Room. That's right....Mr. I am excited to see the man angle of teaching our Little. So, we worked on a very special Goodbye Thank You gift for Teacher Melissa! I take ZERO CREDIT on originality for this one. There are several versions out there!
I started with some cheap, and on-hand supplies:
double-sided tape (which in the end was traded in for hot glue)
large clear vase (on hand)
hot pink ribbon (on hand)
green ribbon ($1 bin)
pink/green pencil packs (50% off $1 bin)
Mini picture frame
With Willie's help in lining up the pencils, a detour to COSTCO for flowers, writing our notes of appreciation in the "m" notebook....we got this...
Here's a close-up of the pencils...
And here is Willie at school this morning, reporting to Teacher Melissa's class for the last time {sniff, sniff, sob}. He, of course, wouldn't be photographed without a buddy.
Baby.Got.Craft. A Big Kid.
That is a cute gift that I am sure his teacher will love. Four years old is a great age too. I hope you enjoy that age as much as I did with my girls.
